TVEC patch notes
New features, improvements and fixes that affect your TVEC experience, from newest to oldest.
Recognizable contest links
- Contest links now show the cashprize followed by the track name, for example /contest/€1500funkcalor. Existing links still work.
Easier sharing and a clearer menu
- Every contest page now has a Share button, including when logged out. On mobile it opens your phone’s share menu; elsewhere you can copy the link.
- The public mobile menu now uses the TVEC logo and the site’s dark design. Login and signup buttons are easier to read.
- This page brings together new features and fixes that affect your TVEC experience.
Shared links open the right pages
- Public links no longer send you to the old pre-launch page, even on your first visit.
- Contests and profiles viewed while logged out use the dark theme. Contest loading now shows the TVEC loader, without the old menu or light footer while you wait.
Shorter addresses on tvec.gg
- English is the default language on tvec.gg: new English links no longer use /en. The French homepage is at tvec.gg/fr.
- French pages use a translated name when one exists, such as /parrainage. When the name is identical in both languages, the French version uses /fr.
Upcoming contests are easier to follow
- The upcoming contests tab shows a count so you can spot what is coming next.
- Authorized organizers can edit or delete a Next Drop. A teaser can contain a single MP3 without a poll.
- MP3 previews can be up to 20 MB, with a maximum duration of 5 minutes. Errors explain more clearly when a preview exceeds the allowed duration.
Clearer explanations of prizes
- Help in the Rewards tab explains jury ranking, virality prizes and honorable mentions. Ranking by views is not the official jury podium.
